Because I want a PLCC-GAL as adress-decoder I need an GAL-programmer.
I searched the web - and found a simple programmer for 16v8, 20v8 and 22v8 GALs with DOS-software - Thanks to ChaN (1997/1999): Simple GAL-Programmer
I built it a little bit modified on the breadboard to burn a 16v8 - and it works.
With my 486'er-DOS-PC I compiled the source with the FGAL assembler and burned it with PGAL.
Why buy something? - when you can build it by yourself ;-)

ReplyDeleteHi, this works with an old PC and MSDOS at the parallel port.
ReplyDeleteI use my 386/40 or an IBM Notebook from 2002 for this.
It will work with every pc under dos and with a native parallel port.
If you send me your email address I send you the schematics and the dos-software.
greets
